A native speaker of French, Florian Stäuber was born in Lausanne, Switzerland. He majored in Japanese Studies and Computational Linguistics.
Passionate about all things Japanese with a focus on language, he lived and worked in this country from 2005 to 2012.
Since 2012, he has provided Japanese and English to French translation / revision services as a full-time independent contractor, after working for an IT company in Osaka.
In November 2023, after completing a 2-year dedicated course, he sat a Swiss Federal examination and was awarded the Federal Diploma which entitles him to work as a certified proofreader.
